Operations Division

The Operations Division is to provide the applicable techniques and methods for mitigation of non-emergency and emergency calls that endanger life, environment, or property. The Operations Division goal is to deliver personnel and equipment to an emergency scene of Corinth, Hickory Creek, Lake Dallas, Shady Shores, and surrounding municipalities through mutual aid. Requests for emergency medical service will be answered by providing basic and advanced life support while meeting both state and local obligations for the delivery of EMS.

Staff

The Lake Cities Fire Department has three fire houses that are strategically located to provide quick response and staffed with 49 shift personnel as follows:

  • 3 - Battalion Chief
  • 9 - Captains
  • 9 - Drivers / Pump Operators
  • 30 - Firefighters / EMT / Paramedics

Personnel are divided between the three fire houses and work 48 hours on duty and 96 hours off duty schedule.

  • 1 - Tiller Truck
  • 2 - Ambulances
  • 2 - Brush Trucks
  • 1 - Utility Truck & Trailer with Medical ATV

Response Capabilities

Operations Division personnel represent a diverse group of individuals with many skills, talents, and specialized training. Assignments in specific areas include fire suppression, emergency medical technicians and paramedics, hazardous materials technicians, and rescue specialists. The department also has repair/maintenance specialists that are responsible for the department fleet, equipment, and facilities.
