Building Services

Building Permit Process

The Building Services Division administers the building permit process for both residential and commercial construction. This is a fundamental process for ensuring the protection of life and property. The permit process begins with the ONLINE submittal of construction documents which are reviewed for compliance with applicable building codes and standards. Approved projects are issued a building permit allowing construction to begin. The division also conducts field inspections to monitor compliance. The inspection process culminates with the issuance of a certificate of occupancy.
