Corinth Alert System
Get alerted directly to your smartphone and stay up-to-date about traffic, road closures, severe weather, field closures and other important community news by signing up for the City of Corinth Alert system.
Registering is easy! Just text MYCORINTH, MYFIELDS, or MYUTILITIES to 888-777 and only stay up-to-date with general news and information that matter to you!
Denton County Alert
Denton County operates a reverse 9-1-1, emergency notification system called Denton County Alert. You can sign up to receive timely and critical emergency messages for Denton County through landline, cellular, text, email, and TTY devices. Visit the Denton County Alert website to sign up.
Outdoor Warning Sirens
The City of Corinth has numerous outdoor warning sirens. The sirens are used to alert the public of impending emergencies, including severe weather. If you hear the sirens while you are outside, please go inside and seek shelter immediately and refer to a television or radio for further instructions.
The sirens will only be initiated in the case of severe weather directly threatening the Lake Cities Area as reported by the National Weather Service, a storm spotter, or certain City employees that meets at least one of the following criteria:
- Reported hail of 1.50” in diameter or greater.
- Sustained strait-line winds of 70 mph and greater.
- Rotation in a dangerous cloud or a tornado.
Siren testing is performed on the first Wednesday of every month at 1 p.m., weather permitting.

NOAA Weather Radios
NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office. NWR broadcasts official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. NWR also broadcasts warning and post-event information for all types of hazards – including natural (such as earthquakes or avalanches), environmental (such as chemical releases or oil spills), and public safety (such as AMBER alerts or 911 Telephone outages).
FEMA App
The FEMA App is a FREE app that allows you to sign up to receive emergency alerts for up to five different locations anywhere in the United States. The app also contains important information on what to do before, during, and after emergencies.
