Corinth Power Switch

The City of Corinth offers residents the opportunity to benefit from volume buying power to lower individual monthly bills with the Texas Power Switch program. We are happy to announce that the electricity plans in this program are 100% renewable, so now you can save money with cleaner electricity. 

The power switch period moves through four phases:

1. To register, visit the Texas Power Switch website.
2. Rate Announcement: The Texas Power Switch will conduct a reverse auction and will announce the winning rates about a week after the auction. The provider who offers the cheapest rates gets to offer you a new electricity contract.
3. Personal Offer: After the auction, residents will receive a personal offer to outline the potential savings.
4. Accept/Decline: After residents receive their personal offer, you will accept or decline it. If choosing to accept, iChoosr will take care of the switching process.

What is the Texas Power Switch?
The Texas Power Switch is a group energy switching program licensed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (certificate # 80419). It allows residents to join together and get a lower electricity rate by asking energy providers to bid on the group’s business.

There is no cost to the residents or the City for this service, nor does the City receive any compensation. This is a service exclusively designed to help residents save money.

Save hundreds on your electric bills per year!
Texans who switched to the 24-month plan in the fall program are expected to save an average of $903 over the next two years on their energy bills. The more people that participate, the greater the chances are of obtaining a competitive rate. Please keep in mind there is no fee to participate or obligation to switch.

There is no cost and no obligation associated with the program. It provides a mechanism to help residents better understand the confusing, deregulated energy market and potentially provides a pathway to saving money on electric bills. The more people who register for the program, the better the opportunity for the broker to make a low-cost deal.

Several other Texas cities, including Lake Dallas, Lancaster, and Richland Hills, participate in the program, with many more anticipated in the future.
