November 2024
The TxDOT Permit has been approved. The Project is expected to go to bid within the next month.
September 2024
The Construction Plans for Utility Relocation have reached 100%. TxDOT permit for construction is being reviewed. Staff anticipates the project going to bid late 2024. Utility relocation will be complete by December 2025.
June 2024
TXDOT Plans are at 100%. The City consultant engineer is at 90% drawings for the City utilities relocation. Utility relocation will be complete by December 2025.
December 2023
The City of Corinth is at 60% design for removing underground infrastructure away from the new roadway design. It is expected that the City will be under construction by late 2024.
September 2023
TXDOT Plans are at 95%. The City consultant engineer is at 60% drawings for the City utilities relocation. The relocation impacts both water and sewer pipelines but the City does not expect any outages during construction.
January 2023
Current Activity:
- PS&E: TCP concept meeting held November 2022. Anticipate submittal of full 60% plan set in February 2023; submittal delayed from December 2022 to allow for additional time to refine TCP plans.
- Utilities: TxDOT Area Office received plans adequate and signed NORAs. NORAs sent to utilities. TxDOT Area Office held utility kick-off meeting in December 2022. Utilities are in design. Utilities in conflict are: Astound, AT&T, Atmos, Charter/Spectrum, City of Corinth, Frontier, Level 3, Oncor, Verizon Business, and Zayo.

- PS&E: Burns & McDonnell submitted plans adequate. TxDOT Dallas District sent plans adequate and NORA letters to TxDOT Area Office on August 24, 2022. Anticipate submittal of full 60% plan set in late fall 2022. TCP concept meeting to be held in November to obtain final approval.
- Utilities: TxDOT Area Office received plans adequate and signed NORAs. NORAs sent to utilities. Utilities in design. TxDOT Area Office is coordinating monthly utility meeting kick-off for December 2022.

- PS&E: The Preliminary Bridge Layout Review was approved at the District level. Consultant submitted 30% plans in April 2022. Dallas District completed review of the 30% plan set on May 24, 2022. Consultant is working to address 30% plan comments and anticipates submittal of plans adequate by end of July 2022.

- PS&E: PS&E efforts are underway. The 30% plans are expected in March 2022. Plans adequate are expected in June 2022.
- ROW: ROW map has been completed. There are 15 parcels for acquisition. There are 14 parcels in negotiations and 1 parcel in ED.
