Corinth Solar Switch
The City of Corinth is part of an innovative new program called Texas Solar Switch. The program offers high-quality solar panels at a competitive price to all our city’s homeowners. The program is run by the same team that offers the Texas Power Switch.
What does Texas Solar Switch do?
Texas Solar Switch organizes group purchasing of residential solar panels to help homeowners receive a significantly discounted price for a solar panel installation. Texas Solar Switch organizes a reverse auction where pre-vetted solar installers compete against each other to offer their best price. The winning offer will be made available to the homeowners that registered for the program.
Why Texas Solar Switch?
The program removes the complexity and uncertainty of shopping for solar panels on one’s own. Solar panels give you the chance to save on energy bills, increase the value of your home, and produce your own renewable energy. This year you can also take advantage of the 26% federal tax credit.
How does it work
1. Register: Find out if your roof is suitable for panels with a simple test: www.texassolarswitch.com.
If your roof is suitable, you can leave your details to receive a personalized offer.
(Note: You will not receive sales calls, and your information will not be shared with third parties)
2. Auction: A reverse auction with qualified installers will be held on June 1. The best bid wins the auction. The more people that register, the better the deal will be.
3. Personalized offer: You will receive a personalized offer based on your roof by June 20. This will include your estimated costs, projected return on investment, and what you can expect to produce.
4. You decide: The decision is yours. You can accept the offer to proceed, or you can decline. There is no obligation to continue. You will have until August 1 to decide.
5. Installation: If you accept the offer, the winning installer will contact you for a site survey and set an installation date.
The more people that participate, the better the price we can secure, and the more renewable energy we can produce as a community. To learn more, visit:www.texassolarswitch.com/Corinth.
