ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM
CORINTH, TX, August 8, 2024 – The Corinth Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) recently introduced the Business Improvement Grant (BIG) Program. This initiative offers both technical and financial support to property owners and tenants looking to renovate or restore façades and other visual elements of commercial buildings in Corinth.
"We are pleased to present the Business Improvement Grant Program, which demonstrates the City's commitment to strengthening local businesses and fostering a dynamic economic environment in Corinth,” said City Manager Scott Campbell. “This program will provide vital resources to aid business growth and success.”
The BIG Program aims to revitalize properties, enhancing their exterior, visibility, and overall appeal. Eligible businesses can apply for a 50% matching reimbursement grant for a range of improvements to their storefronts, including upgrades to lighting, landscaping, and more.
Applications that do not meet the program criteria will receive recommendations for improvements that could help make the project eligible in the future. Based on the size and scope of the project, additional or alternative economic development incentives may also be considered with City Council approval.
By collaborating directly with local business owners on storefront improvements, the Corinth Economic Development Corporation aims to boost the local economy while enhancing the overall vitality and appearance of the community.
